Final Project: Abstract Motion

As the project title is abstract motion, I have thought of a storyline that talked about a big thingy want to eat a small thingy. Their character are small circle thingy and basically I want to say that they are actually controlled by human as when the human pressed the button, it can explode.

For this Bluey rolling and moving scene is quite easy to conduct as I just need to bounce it and adjust the speed graph so that it could stay longer at the peak pooint and moving faster when going upwards and downwards.

This scene actually I want to express that human are manipulating them therefore I decided to apply the human hand scene and they are chasing around it.

The texts "eat eat eat" indicating that Bluey is really "hangry" and want to eat purpley so much. And they are running on the text thread so I have animated their movement according to the curve.

In the eating scene, Bluey has transformed become bigger and more angry. I actually does not know how to animate it to open mouth and eat Purpley. I think the outcome is not that good as I expected, I have used another white shape to cover on it and make Purpley shrink down and move towards Bluey's mouth.

For the explosion, I have looked for several tutorials on how to animate explosion and I have finally found one. I have followed the tutorial to make it. I have applied CC Particle, fill and glow to make the explosion effect.

At the end, I have added sound effects and bgm, and the most suitable bgm that I could think of is Tom and Jerry bgm. I have change the tone of it by Pitch Shifter in Premiere Pro. Besides that, I have found various sound effects online.

Feedback

Mr Fauzi said that my storyboard was good, as I already have my own storyline I can follow it to construct the animation. Also, Mr Fauzi has suggested that if I want to make the work easy to extend the time in one scene, I could add some dialogues or voice over to the characters.

Reflection

OH MY GODD I finally finished all the assignments in this module!! I am so happy!!! I have really learnt a lot of things throughout all of the projects I have done.

This project is actually quite easy as this module is not as hard as Animation Fundamentals that need to draw frame by frame, it can be done used by After Effects. Thanks Mr Fauzi for guiding us along the journey and giving me advices.
