Final Reflection
What have I learnt in this module?
The most important, of course I learnt about each design
principles clearly with the examples and explanations provided
by the lecturer. Through the images and researches done by
myself, my knowledge about design principles from 0 become
100! Along with the tasks given, I managed to apply those
design principles into my artwork as well, not only reading
them but actually understanding them. Also, I learnt about the
way of observing the design principles in every artwork while
exploring for the inspirations online.
What did I enjoy the most?
Of course I enjoyed the drawing progress the most as my hobby
is drawing!! I felt so proud after completing my drawing from
sketch to final artowrk, I felt like I am a mother seeing my
baby grow to a child as I really put a lot of efforts and
loves in it. I hope evryone like my drawing hehe!
What did I not enjoy the most?
I guess the things that I not enjoy the most is documenting
the progression in my blog lol. As it's a bit troublesome for
me to record the progress while I was too immersed into
drawing and I will always forgot to screenshot the progress.
Also, I will be a bit lazy to documenting it while adding
captions as well but it is compulsory so I have nothing to
complain about it.
What have I learnt about myself through this module?
Through this module, I have clearly known about my passions
towards drawings and my effectiveness on creating an artwork.
I was quite procastinating on completing assignbments, but
when it is related to drawing like sketching and colouring, I
will always try to complete as soon as possible. May be this
is due to I won't face much problems and challenges on drawing
as I get used to already. However, I know that I am very weak
when it comes to drawing using Adobe Illustrator. I always try
to solve this but if can draw with Procreate, I will still
avoid using AAdobe Iluustrator.
What has changed and what has not in my learning
journey?
The things have changed was I will first consider about the
design principles that I would included in my artwork before I
have started to sketch. Also, I have been more and more
confident on creationg my own artwork now as I will seek for
advices from friends and tutor. What has not changed in my
learning journey is that there are also spaces for me to
improve. I always stay in my comfort zone which I prefer to
draw manually on Procreate instead of using Adobe Illustrator.
I would try my best to solve this problem..!
What are my aspirations?
My aspirations are becoming expert in using all Adobe
software! I hope that I can be expert on drawiong in Adobe
Illustrator as well, this is really one of my weaknesses.
Also, as my specialisation is digital animation, I still not
so familiar with all the Adobe apps like Animate, After
Effects, Premiere Pro etc. I know this is what I should
improve on but I always lack of time to study about it. Clubs,
assignments and works already take most of my times :( Of
course I also priotise my relax time hahaha. I hope that I
could be closer to my aspirations in the future.
