REFLECTION

Experience
It was so happy and satisfied that I have officially done this module!! I felt like I have grown a lot a lot compared to the start of this semester, I was so scared before the semester start :D I felt like typography is something I am not good with and my result for typography does not meet my expectation. However, after I have done all the tasks in advanced typography this semester, I felt that it is not as terrible as what I thought. When I faced some challenges, I will also seek for my friend's opinions and Mr Vinod's feedbacks. I might did some mistakes but I think it is the stepping stone for me to growth and achieve a better outcome. My favourite task for this semester is task 3 which I could design a font for my favourite KPOP girl group - AESPA. I enjoyed this task the most which is also at the end of this semester, I found my true love for this module❤. Overall, after completing each task, I have grown more and more in terms of application skills and design skills. I really enjoy a lot while doing all these tasks that are helpful and beneficial to me.

Observations
Throughout this semester, I have observed that while contructing the letterforms whether in Task 1 Exercise 2 (Type & Play) or Task 3 (Type Exploration & Application), it takes a lot of times constructing and digitising the letterforms to make sure the visual style looked consistent and neat. In order to make the font that looked visually appealing and balanced, many times of adjustments on details are needed, that is why it take a long time on constructing the letterforms compare to typographic systems layouts and font applications etc. On the other hand, I can observed my improvements from the first semester until this semester, which is also quite a big difference compared typography module. Advanced Typography did have a higher level and standard of assignments compared to a more basic assignments in Typography. Advanced typography focused more on the ideas and concepts of students itself which assess the students' design thinking skills.

Findings
As I have mentioned before, there will be a lot of things need to consider when it comes to execute and carry out the process. I found out that if you never start doing the things but just imagination, you cannot really feel what is lack of and what could be improved! After I have done with so many tasks, I have been awared on more details and my works are more organized and neat. This is an expected outcome obviously, and with so many others assignments and club activities going on I still managed to complete all of them, this has really proven that my time management skills and efficiency have been improved yay! This is what we call no pain no gain. All in all, thanks for the guiding and leading from Mr Vinod which really help us a lot while exploring through the advanced typography module. Until now I still a bit cannot believe that I have completed this amazing module :D
